I was fortunate enough to work with Jerry on 3 occasions. Firstly, with Inchcape (2002 – 2007), then briefly at Ridgeway (2008) before the longest stint when Marshall acquired Ridgeway from 2016 through to 2023. Jerry worked in various roles for me in that time but the role that he excelled in was from 2017 when he was Head of Remarketing responsible for all our auction disposals across the entire group.
At its peak Jerry was disposing of over 25,000 cars which required huge focus and a huge desire to succeed. To Jerrys absolute credit he managed and drove the processes that we put in place which enabled the business to consistently market leading performances.

I first knew Jerry when he joined Ridgeway in 2007 at the point we acquired the 4 Mercedes-Benz businesses into the group. At this point given the enlarged size of the group we had sufficient scale to warrant a dedicated person focussing on auction disposals coupled with a Divisional Used Car Manager / Buyer role.
